Stephanie was our doula for the birth of our daughter. More than anything, Stephanie provided us assurance. We are first time parents facing a high risk pregnancy. In the months ahead of our due date, she met with us multiple times patiently setting our expectations and answering our endless questions. She was highly responsive via text in the weeks and days leading to our due date and then (most importantly) served as a calming source of information and aid during labor itself. We found the labor room to be a blur of sounds, lights, nurses and doctors. Everything feels rushed and urgent questions were tossed at us by nearly every visitor. Stephanie was our translation layer and our shield that kept our nerves in a sustainable place - we were so glad she was with us.
