What can I say about Stephanie beyond that she is absolutely fantastic? I interviewed multiple doulas during my pregnancy and ultimately decided to work with Stephanie given her experience with hospital births. Stephanie met with us in hour home for the prenatal visits, answering all of our questions, and teaching us the basics, including Spinning Babies' techniques, which my husband and I loved doing each evening. While my actual pregnancy was smooth and uncomplicated, my labor and delivery was not. I developed severe preeclampsia, but having Stephanie there was a godsend. She kept everyone calm (and not just my mom and husband, but the nurses as well). She also was our advocate. There was a moment after my emergency C-section when they wanted to take me to the ICU and separate me from my baby, but Stephanie was able to work with the staff and ensure I could stay in the postpartum ward with my daughter, safely. I can't imagine what my L&D would have been like without her support.

Stephanie is such a gem. She played a huge role in helping me achieve my dream of a successful VBAC. She provided me with the best information and research to answer all of my many many questions, concerns and fears. She ultimately led me down a path to calm, supported, confident and ready to trust my body in a natural birth experience. As my big day grew closer, Stephanie was available day and night to hear me and guide me. On the day my daughter was born, Stephanie and her calming presence kept me grounded and in the zone through the whole thing. I could not have done this without her!
