Believe me - there is no way any OB has the time to sit down and explain all the scenarios and answer all of your questions the way Stephanie can...We went into our birth with a fuller understanding and the ability to make important decisions. I planned to get an epidural, and Stephanie was so supportive in that decision and helped to make our birth experience special.

Stephanie was my postpartum doula and I am so thankful to have had her by my side those first few weeks. She is sweet, attentive and caring. Stephanie was also our postpartum doula. She took care of our daughter like she was her own, and above all else provided us with peace of mind. She would bring the baby in to feed, bring mama snacks or water, and start the coffee before she left at 6 am. I have already told my other pregnant friends about her services, and if you're on the fence about a doula in any capacity, save yourself the headache and pull the trigger -- preferably with Stephanie -- and you won't be disappointed!

What can I say about Stephanie beyond that she is absolutely fantastic? I interviewed multiple doulas during my pregnancy and ultimately decided to work with Stephanie given her experience with hospital births. Stephanie met with us in hour home for the prenatal visits, answering all of our questions, and teaching us the basics, including Spinning Babies' techniques, which my husband and I loved doing each evening. While my actual pregnancy was smooth and uncomplicated, my labor and delivery was not. I developed severe preeclampsia, but having Stephanie there was a godsend. She kept everyone calm (and not just my mom and husband, but the nurses as well). She also was our advocate. There was a moment after my emergency C-section when they wanted to take me to the ICU and separate me from my baby, but Stephanie was able to work with the staff and ensure I could stay in the postpartum ward with my daughter, safely. I can't imagine what my L&D would have been like without her support.
